Day one; The beginning

“We grow neither better nor worse as we get old, but more like ourselves”

Since the beginning of time people have been living, existing.
We have been on this planet for billions of years (you can correct me on that, it's probably millions... Maybe. I'm just damn well sure that it's been an insanely long amount of time).
But what have we really been doing all of these years? My answer to that was, evolving. The cave man made tools for things such as hunting and over time they have evolved into weapons of military force. Jesus preached and spread good news, is that not what priests do today but simply in a more modern way (microphones, Sunday on air church services on TV)? We have walked on the moon, we've marched and rebelled, creating movements, creating history!!
Feminism.
Racism.
Science, Darwin's evolutionary theory.
Hitler.
Wars, civil and worldly!
All historical events, people who have shaped the way our Earth is structured today. The way we live today!
But what about people like me? Average people who are far more concerned with telling my friends what happened on gossip girl instead of telling them to drink old, red wine because it's my blood (I assure you my friends wouldn't do that, they'd look at me like I'm strange).
No, I'm not revolutionary. I'm living, I'm existing. I like simple things,
-Fashion
-Music
-Books
-Movies
-Justin Beiber! (Jk!;... Kinda)

My name is Jess. I'm a 16 year old, Australian girl who is still in school. I have three older sisters, a mother and a father (all biological, surprisingly to most people). I have a best friend, a boyfriend, some very close friends, then I deal with... Others. I Suddenly I found my future approaching me way to fast. I don't know what I want to do, I have strong interests in arts and fashion and designing but my head is telling me to be more practical and study for a serious job!

And all the while, I realised, I'm not the only one who is going through this, making these decisions.
This is why this blog was created, to chronicle and discuss what it's like for someone just leaving school and entering the real world.
This is the diary of a growing girl.
xJess.
